Jim Iyke, Banky W, Julius Agu, Uti Nwachukwu, Alex Ekubo, others make Vogue's list of 10 best dressed Nigerian men

, by Laura Ikeji

International Magazine, Vogue Italia, today did a feature on the 10 Best Dressed Nigerian men. According to them, Jim Iyke, Uti Nwachukwu, Alex Ekubo, Gideon Okeke, Mai Atafo, Julius Agwu, Ozzy Agu, Banky W, Noble Igwe, Denola Adepetun are Nigeria's 10 best dressed men. See what they wrote about each of them after the cut ...

Jim Iyke was especially astounding—he embodied swagger, charming mischief, an ineffable libertine air and such winning rakishness.

TV Host/Actor Uti Nwachukwu was another favorite, a gentle, handsome, suave gentleman with a loving, kind disposition and affability.

The equally handsome TV Presenter/Actor Alexx Ekubo was the perfect model par excellence—thoroughly fluent with his body; same for the great actor Gideon Okeke.

Nonetheless, you have Julius Agwu, the preeminent, gregarious, comedian; the cool fashion designer Mai Atafo’s style functions as a shorthand for his vocation; the hot actor/TV host Ozzy Agu also employs dressing as it were visual thoughts of his interior erudition; the very debonair singer Banky W, a shade smug in his midnight-blue velvet blazer, concealed as much as he revealed a certain bon viveur air; fashion eminence rise Noble Igwe boasts perhaps the most luxuriant beard in the country and exhibited such an economy of chic; and the very young fashionista/personality Denola Adepetun, the lanky kid, was ever so soigné.

Man beats his mum to death two days after being released from Prison after 30-year murder sentence

, by Laura Ikeji

Two days after completing a 30-year prison sentence for a 1984 murder conviction, a New Jersey man allegedly killed his 64-year-old mother.
On Wednesday, Steven Pratt, 47, pleaded guilty to manslaughter, admitting his role in his mother's beating death, police say.

A statement from prosecutors obtained by PEOPLE confirms Pratt, an Atlantic City resident who lived with his mother, repeatedly struck his mother Gwendolyn Pratt in the head the morning of Oct. 12, 2014. Police responded to the Pratt home that morning and found Gwendolyn's lifeless body inside.

The statement says officers immediately took Pratt into custody and an autopsy later revealed the victim died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Pratt faces 25 more years behind bars when he is sentenced within the next few months, police say.

On Oct. 10, 2014, Pratt was released from a New Jersey prison, where he'd spent the previous three decades for the fatal shooting of Michael Anderson.

When he was 15, Anderson caught Pratt smoking marijuana with friends and confronted the boy.

During that incident, Pratt struck Anderson in the face with a lead pipe. After being hit, Anderson retreated, but hours later, Pratt knocked on his apartment's door. When he opened it, Pratt shot Anderson.

What Would You Do If You Caught Your Partner Cheating On Val’s Day? See Celebrities Replies

, by Laura Ikeji

As many are caught up in the spirit of valentine season,Juliet Ebirim queries some Nigerian celebrities on how they would react if they caught their partner cheating on that day.

Tessy had been dating her boyfriend for more than two years. On Valentine’s day, she got the ‘worst valentine surprise’. She caught her boyfriend pants down in the arms of another woman after he gave her a lame excuse for not spending the day with her.

For most lovers, Valentine’s Day means chocolate, flowers, gifts and plenty of romance. So, what if your seemingly perfect boyfriend or husband messed everything up and betrayed your trust. What would you do? Some of our female celebrities speak;

Men are born cheats – Evia Simon, Actress

I’ll get really angry and mad at him. I will have it tough with him for weeks or thereabout, because we all know men are born cheats. That doesn’t mean I will leave the relationship, because I can’t leave my husband or boyfriend for any woman no matter what. For all you know, it might just be a tactic to make the girl feel he loves her so as to sleep with her.

So, I will pardon him on the condition that he realises his mistakes and apologises and then we can continue from where we stopped. I can only quit the relationship if the reason for his actions was for us to go our separate ways and if he doesn’t show any remorse either.

I’ll quit the relationship – Yetunde Bakare, Actress

It shows that I’m just a side chick and that girl is the main chick. If he loves me as he claims, he won’t have a second option, not even on Val’s Day. It’s so obvious he prefers the lady to me, so I’ll just walk out and end the relationship.

It also means that he hasn’t been sincere from the onset , why would he give me false hope? I must be thinking I’m his one and only, the special one to have shown up on Val’s day only to get the shock of my life. He’s not worth it, because life is more than living in pretense. He’s a coward for making me believe we had something real.

I might be the cause – Sandra Bassey, Model

I believe February 14th is a day to show love to the needy and under-privileged. I don’t really see it as a special day for my lover and I, because everyday is a Val’s day for me. So if my boyfriend cheats on me on that day, it’s the same as cheating on me any other day. But if I happen to catch him cheating on me, I’ll be very mad, heartbroken and bitter, but that will not make me break up with him, because I believe that no man is perfect and all men are cheats

How long would YOU wait to sleep with your partner? Brits reveal how long they'd wait

, by Laura Ikeji

Waiting game: How long would you wait before sleeping with your partner

One in four adults (25 per cent) are prepared to wait at least two months tosleep with a new partner , according to new research.

One in 10 will wait at least six months (10 per cent) with one per cent even willing to wait TWO YEARS or more before finally sleeping together.

But more than one in five (21 per cent) won't wait longer than a week.

The survey of 2,000 men and women, for dating service Match , also shows that Brits wait an average of five months before saying 'I love you' to their partner - just two weeks before their first row.

While we love to kiss our dates straight away, the study suggests that saying the three magic words can spell the beginning of the end.

To kiss or not to kiss? How long would you wait for a snog

And although we're quick to move in for a snog, just over a quarter of people (27 per cent) wait between one and two weeks to sleep with their partner.

The nation’s biggest dating milestones, from first kiss to marriage , have been mapped out by dating service Match.

The research shows the average British couple gets engaged after two years and 13 days - and marries after three years and 95 days.

The six-month mark seems to be the make or break time in a relationship, with three major milestones taking place around then.

This is the point when couples drop their guards and reveal their imperfections to each other, have their first argument and meet each other’s parents.

The survey looked at 2,000 men and women to uncover the biggest relationship highs and lows.

Surprisingly, Brits are much quicker to kiss new partners than hold hands - and a only third would undress in front of their partner with the lights on within the first month of dating.

Rows: You'd be surprised how quickly people have them

Around the time they say “I love you”, smitten couples also take to social media to declare their commitment to the world.

They also feel safe enough, after about six months, to leave their toothbrush at a partner’s house - and 40 per cent would even start expecting their own drawer for clothes at around that time.

And the six-month milestone brings a tougher test - it’s when daters feel safe splashing out on a night away together.

But six months isn’t enough to commit to a holiday – most couples prefer to wait 10 months before jetting off together.

A third of Brits are keen to settle down quickly and will have their first conversation about the long-term future within a year of meeting.

Milestone: Six months is a key time

Babies start appearing just a year after marriage - four years since the couple started dating.

But under-25s don't need to worry about finding a soulmate as the research found that 27 is the average age daters find 'The One'.

Men tend to wait until they are 28 to settle down, while women pick them a bit earlier, at 25.

Kate Taylor, dating expert for Match, said: “While each relationship moves at its own pace, daters are often reassured by comparing their experiences with others.

“However, one statistic I disagree with is how long daters are waiting to get undressed with the lights on. Strut your stuff proudly! The right partner for you will love you for the naked truth, inside AND out.”
